The College Ready Summer Intensive is for every entering college freshman who wants to feel a little more confident when they step on campus in the fall. While we can't create the social life you want, we can and will walk you through a few essentials like reading a syllabus, understanding grading rubrics, and identifying your individual learning style. We'll also arm you with strategies to navigate your new environment and effectively use campus resources.
We know that you're not just college freshmen, you are young adults who are going through a transition. Change often brings with it new feelings. For that reason CRSI will also address how you can process those feelings and strategies for managing them.
New environments can also require new habits. There is a science behind how our brains create networks, connections, and habits. We'll talk about that too.
All in all, CRSI is about making sure you know not only what to expect when you get to college, but that you know what is expected of you. Why? Because admission is just the beginning . . .
